PHYSICAL SCIENCE

This week was a special one for me as on friday my teacher Vineeth M came for observation. He observed me taking the topic 'factors affecting sound' from the chapter Sound.              The weekend reflection was conducted on 28 Jan 2023 from 10:00am to 12:15pm. This time it was the general reflection. The platform was chosen to discuss about the week passed, celebration that are celebrated, if any, and most importantly the planning for diagnostic test. In this reflection all the students from 22 school participated. One among the students of each school gets the opportunity to reflect on their conduct in this whole week. Afterwards teachers also presented their reflection based on their observation of 1-2 classes of each of the students. They provided some common suggestions to rectify the mistakes generally made by students. Like, maintaining attendance register, obeying orders from school, and one of the major suggestion was on opting different strategies to control the clas

 Republic day is one among the important days celebrated by we Indians as this is the day on which the constitution of India came into effect. The day is celebrated by all the schools inorder to develop patriotic feeling among the students as well as to make them aware about our nation and the significance of the important days. My school, MGDGHS Kundara also celebrated republic day. In the presence of SPC, NCC, JRC and NSS cadets, teachers and PTA president, principal hoisted the national flag at 8:00am. After that, republic day parade was also conducted. All the teacher trainees along with the teachers coordinated the parade. It only lasted till 9:00am.  

 The third weekend reflection was conducted on 21-01-23 from 1:45 pm to 3:30 pm. This time the reflection was option wise. so, all the 24 students of physical science department along with our teacher Vineeth M participated in the reflection process. During this session we took the opportunity to share our experience from 16th of jan to till date. The reflection was not only limited to the students but was given by our teacher also. He reflected on his observation of 17 students in the whole week. He took the opportunity to highlight some of the common mistakes made by the teacher trainees like skill of asking questions, medium of instruction, discussion time to be given to the students etc. With this the reflection session has ended.  

 The weekend reflection was conducted on Jan 14 2023 after five days of teaching practice, that is, from 09-01-23 to 13-01-23. It was conducted in the general hall in the presence of all the teaching staffs, principal and 105 students. The reflection began at 11:15 am and lasted till 1:30pm. The leaders from all the 24 practicing schools presented their reflection. All of them shared both bitter and happy moments in their school life as a teacher. All of them faced problems related to classroom and time management during their initial days, which faded with time. The session was a valuable lesson for me for my teaching practice. Well my whole week went good as I tried to make a bond with the students during this whole week. In this week I was assigned with new work of making the students of class 10 get done with their worksheets. This was the week when I got feedback from my students. A weekend reflection on teaching Partice phase 1was conducted online on Jan 8 at 2.00 pm .Since Jan 07,  Saturday was working day for schools. Here all the 24 students physical science department has participated under supervision of the teacher in charge Vineeth.M . After which each one of us shared our experience from day 1 (04/01/2023) till day4 (06/01/20223). It was valuable session as i got to know that similar experience are faced by all my peers specially, regarding time and class management. it was good to know about different technique used by my classmates as part of class management, specially in substitution hours.
