COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP
As part of BEd curriculum, a community living camp for 5 days has been conducted from 10th of April to 14th of April. The camp was entitled 'Ekam' with a theme of ' to be together. The camp organiser was prof. Sheeja Chacko while the camp convenor was prof. Vineeth M. The camp leader were Jishnu Vijayan and Athira H. The camp began with an inaugural function on 10/04/23 at 9:30am. The camp was inaugurated by Sri. S R Ramesh, Kottarakkara Municipality chairman. With felicitation and vote of thanks the first day of the camp began
DAY 1: SAMYOJANA (10-04-23)
The first session Aathmarekha began at 11:45 am. The session was lead by Sreemayi S L, transgender activist, artist and social worker. The session was about the transgenders and the problems faced by them. She made us aware of the laws prevailing for them as well as the bitter experiences faced by them. The session lasted till 1:30 pm. After the lunch break the second session named Arang unarumbol was conducted by Sri. Bharanikavu Radhakrishnan, Personality development trainer and best teacher award winner. The class was lively and dramatic where each one of us got a chance to become an actor, director etc. Through this we learned about various skills that adds on to our personality. The session ended at 5:00pm.
DAY 2: SAMSARGA (11-04-23)
The first session of the second day began with Thudithalam by Sri Punnappara Jyothikumar, teacher, poet and a reasearcher. The class was musical and melodious. He taught us how a teacher should be? at the same time he taught us the importance of music in teaching learning process. At 2:00 pm we had a lunch break and the next session started at 3:00 pm. The session named Nirav was dealt by Sri Bhahmanayakam Mahadevan sir. He is an eminent personality who is known for his distinct classses. The class was very energetic as well us lively. He introduced us with various tactics to be used to be different from others. He taught us how to introduce self and also acquaint us with various gamifications to be added on to our classrooms. The class lasted till 5:30pm.
DAY 3: SAMATHWA (12-04-23)
The Day began with a magical session entitled Manam Thodum Mayajaalam carried out by Mentalist Akshay. The session was from 11:00 am to 1:00pm.The session was very interesting as it raised our enthusiasm after each performance. The session gifted us certain tricks and tips useful in our classroom. Next session was Manaviyam which was conducted as part of conscientization program of EDU11. The program was meant for kudumbasree members in which each of the group showcased their performance to provide awareness based on their concerned topics. meanwhile a medical camp was also conducted for both the kudumbasree unit members and the students. The program winded up with the community kitchen program, kappayum kappiyum. Then by 7:00pm pattum parachilum, cultural program began where all the 5 groups showed their dance performance by recreating the instances from the movies before 2000s. The whole program ended with DJ night.
DAY 4: VIMOCHITA (13-04-23)
The day began with Yoga and Meditation by Rev Fr Dr Jacob John. This session made our day by providing 'me time' and peace. It was for about 1hr. Then we set the dance floor by having a zumba dance under the supervision of Harimol, Zumba instructor.Ater about 2 hrs of zumbo we finally had breakfast and then went for the preparation of de ruchi at 11:45am where each group has to make food items without fire. By 2:00pm all the groups were done with their preparations and the food items were ready for the eavaluation. After the evaluation everyone were called on the hall for group wise news reading. with this the competition were ended and at 7:00pm thannane thaane program was started were chennikkara shivarajan and team performed nadanpattu which ended at 9:30pm.
DAY 5: ORUMA (14-04-23)This was the last day of camp. The day began with the warmth of yoga by Kavya, Asst.Professor. The formal session began at 12:00pm with prayer. The stage was used for vote of thanks and the announcement of prizes. The overall winner was group sparsha. We Gandha got first prize in cultural program, 2nd in de ruchi and 3rd in news reading. The whole session ended with flag lowering.
